The single most spatially decisive point in the composition is the angolo — the precise corner at the top of the quarter-arc where the left panel's inner edge transitions from its near-horizontal beginning into the arc's sweep. Above this point, the rose ground is narrow and the two panels are closely aligned; below it, the arc opens broadly into the widest zone of the warm recessed field. Everything depends on where this angolo is placed: its height within the composition governs the proportion of the upper opening to the broad mid-zone, and its exact curve radius determines the shape of the rose ground zone at every point below it. Woven from New Zealand wool, the dense 15mm pile holds this corner with structural precision — the turning point sharp and unambiguous within the textile surface, grounded by a premium Malaysian cotton backing.
